Houston's elevator company — owned by two brothers who actually work on elevators.
Brothers Fares and Kayed Al-Salim co-founded Arise Elevators in 2023 to do one thing well: give property managers and building owners across a 100-mile radius of Houston the service experience they used to get from the majors — before the majors got too big.
A family business, 25+ years in Houston shafts, machine rooms, and pits.
Arise Elevators was co-founded in 2023 by brothers Fares and Kayed Al-Salim, and is based at 10924 Grant Rd in Houston, Texas. Fares spent 25+ years inside the machine rooms of the same major service companies Houston property managers complain about today — working hands-on across Schindler, Dover, Westinghouse, Thyssen, Otis, Kone, Fujitec, and Mitsubishi equipment. Before starting Arise, he was the tech the majors sent.
The brothers kept hearing the same thing from building owners: it was getting harder to reach a real person, harder to get a straight answer on pricing, and harder to get a technician on site when an elevator was down. The service these owners signed up for wasn't the service they were getting. So Fares and Kayed went into partnership and built Arise — a family-run shop where the owners answer the phone.
How we're different
We give you a straight answer on pricing — no two-week back-and-forth. We answer the phone — and if you're a Premium customer, you get a callback within 15 minutes, 24/7, from a real technician. We price-match any written quote from a licensed competitor for comparable service. And if there's ever a problem, an owner of the company is the person you escalate to — there are two of us, and we're both reachable.
We're small enough to stay accountable, and experienced enough that we've seen most of what's in your hoistway before.
Who we serve
Property managers, building owners, apartment communities, senior housing, medical offices, hotels, university and broadcast facilities, and commercial operators across a 100-mile radius of Houston. If you run a commercial building with vertical transportation, we can help — see our named customer references for examples.
Going with a local, family-owned company shouldn't feel like a tradeoff. You shouldn't have to give up response time, technical depth, or coverage just because you picked someone with a Houston address instead of a national one. That's what Arise is — the technical depth of a major, run like a local shop, by two brothers who actually answer the phone.
